You have a directional choice to make for your life. Not choosing is still a choice. Your current values are beliefs that form the base of your life today. To transform your life you need to rethink your values.
How to develop your fundamental and essential values for a life of happiness, success, and fulfillment
We are taught in the jungle of life to climb a Pyramid of Desires by satisfying first our basic desires before moving to our essential ones. Then, if we are fortunate enough, we might arrive to our fundamental desires of happiness, success, and fulfillment. Hopefully, before we die, we even might satisfy our existential desire of discovering why we are on this Earth and the purpose of our lives.
What if we flip that pyramid and first strive to satisfy our existential desire—the why of our existence? If we simply do that, then everything will change. We will have direction in our lives. Happiness, success, and fulfillment will become byproducts of walking the path toward our guiding star. We will seek work and relationships that are guided by our existential purpose and fulfill only the desires that take us back to the Garden of Eden. The result is a life of clarity, gratitude, ease, and abundance.
